A meeting place for the local community, guests and visitors to Achiltibuie

Our bar was a favourite stopping point for crofters in the 19th Century. When you step inside, you’re walking in the footsteps of those who worked the land and sea many years ago. Some traditions never fade and you’ll find that the bar is still a favourite haunt of the local community. For those who travel here regularly, it’s good to know there’s still refreshment at the end of the road, with a warm welcome, a fine selction of drinks and comforting food.

Our bistro has seating for 20 guests and is located in the front part of the bar with beautiful views towards the sea and the Summer Isles. Outside, we have a large beer garden where you can enjoy drinks and food on sturdy wooden tables whilst taking in those spectacular views.

Eat in the bar for magnificantly simple food washed down with a pint of real ale or a carafe of wine. This is the bistro of Achiltibuie!

The bar opens at 12:00 and “last orders” are at 22:45 with closing at 23:30.

The Summer Isles Hotel Bar

Outside, there are tables in front of the main Bar windows.  Across the driveway you’ll find a beer garden with plenty of seating to let you enjoy your drinks and your meals on sunny days – of which we might add, there are plenty.

The bar is well stocked with beers and lagers on draught and a fine range of local gins and whiskies. Wines are supplied by Corney and Barrow which means that our guests should be able to find something a little different during their visit to the Highlands.
