From magnificently simple to creative and refined
The hotel is fortunate to have two restaurants under it’s roof. Our fine-dining restaurant, elegantly decorated and located in the main building of the hotel, is our “flagship”. It brings creative modern French cuisine based on an absolute respect for ultra-fresh local produce. Our primary focus is on the seafood that is caught in the waters between the hotel and the Summer Isles. Menus follow the season and change every month, and langoustines, lobster, scallops, oysters and mussels always feature in our Chef’s creative dishes. The restaurant is open for dinner only, and most guests like to start the evening with pre-dinner drinks in our lounge bar, situated opposite the restaurant. Please make sure to pre-book for the restaurant.
Our bistro is located in The Summer Isles Bar, which is full of bustling character and popular with guests and our friends in the local community. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed, with natural wooden dining tables, thick stone walls and warm red walls. It is not uncommon to meet one of the local fishermen whose langoustines or lobster you are eating at that very moment. The food is modern, enticing and comforting, and of course locally-caught seafood is the main ingredient. Customers can choose from small or large dishes. The Bistro is open for lunch and dinner and it is sensible to pre-book.
Our wines are supplied by some of the oldest and most versatile wine merchants in the UK. We pride ourselves in the quality and depth of our wine cellar that has been created over the years, especially with regard to our selection of wines that marry particularly well with seafood. Real ale is on offer and the selection of Scottish gins increases by the week!
